Heating support for reactor systems in chemical, adhesive, coating and material production.

For this application, Yigao reviews temperature target, heating medium, equipment layout, operating rhythm and site energy condition before recommending a practical product configuration.

Choosing a thermal oil heater for a reactor

Reactor volume alone is not enough to select heater power. Provide the normal and maximum batch mass, material properties where available, starting and target temperatures, required heat-up time, insulation and operating schedule. Include the jacket or coil drawing and its permitted operating conditions so the heat-transfer arrangement can be reviewed.

Separate heating duty from temperature control

State whether the process needs heating only, temperature holding or a separate cooling stage. Identify temperature sensor locations and any reaction heat that the process designer has specified. Heater selection does not replace the reactor manufacturer's review of process limits and cooling requirements.

Electric or fuel-fired reactor heating?

Review the electric thermal oil heater against available voltage and electrical capacity, or the gas-fired thermal oil heater and diesel configuration against fuel and installation conditions. Compare both at the same process duty using the gas vs electric heating cost calculator; its operating-cost estimate is not a reactor sizing calculation.

See the reaction kettle heating reference for related equipment context. Send your jacket drawing and batch temperature profile through the project inquiry link for a configuration review.

Recommended information before selection

  • Target temperature and required heating time
  • Working medium, air volume or thermal oil flow
  • Machine size, duct route, reactor volume or production line drawing
  • Preferred fuel or voltage condition
  • Destination country, quantity and installation space

Project-fit review

Start with the process data you have now.

You do not need a finished equipment specification. Send the known duty, present operating issue or available drawing, and Yigao can identify which inputs are still needed before a model and quotation are confirmed.

A useful first brief can include

  • Application or material being heated
  • Target temperature or current problem
  • Heating medium, airflow or oil circuit
  • Available fuel, voltage and power capacity
  • Equipment size, photo, nameplate or drawing
  • Destination country and required quantity
Final specifications and performance depend on the selected configuration, operating conditions and project requirements.
